This page explains how to delete your EdicorAI account and what happens to your data.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: In-App Deletion

  1. Open the EdicorAI app
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Read the warning message
  6. Confirm deletion

Account will be deleted immediately.

Method 2: Email Request

If you can't access the app:

  1. Email: edicortech@gmail.com
  2. Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include:
    • Your email address (if you created an account)
    • Device identifier (if available)
    • Reason for deletion (optional)
  4. We'll confirm your identity and process within 72 hours

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is PERMANENTLY DELETED:

✅ Deleted Immediately

  • User profile (if you created one)
  • Email address
  • Subscription preferences
  • Usage statistics (credit history, generation counts)
  • App settings (language preference, etc.)

⚠️ Deleted Within 30 Days

  • Anonymized analytics (aggregated usage data)
  • Error logs (crash reports with your device ID)
  • Support tickets (correspondence with our team)

❌ NOT Deleted (Legal/Technical Reasons)

  • Transaction records: Required by law for tax/accounting (7 years)
    • Purchase receipts
    • Subscription history
    • Refund records
    • Note: These contain minimal personal info and are encrypted
  • Photos: Stored LOCALLY on your device only
    • You must delete manually from your photo gallery
    • We never stored your photos on our servers
  • Subscription with Apple/Google:
    • Managed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store
    • We cannot delete this data
    • You must cancel separately (see below)

What persists: Anonymous analytics (aggregated, non-identifiable) and transaction records required by law.

Before You Delete

⚠️ Important Warnings

This action is IRREVERSIBLE. You will lose:

  • Unused subscription credits
  • Subscription access (no refund for current period)
  • Generated images (if you haven't saved them locally)
  • App preferences and settings

You will NOT receive:

  • Refund for current subscription period
  • Compensation for unused credits
  • Backup of your data

✅ Things to Do First

1. Download your generated images

  • Open the app gallery
  • Select all images you want to keep
  • Save to your device's photo library

2. Cancel your subscription (to avoid future charges)

  • iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → EdicorAI → Cancel
  • Android: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → EdicorAI → Cancel

3. Request refund (if eligible)

  • See our Refund Policy
  • Request within 48 hours if you haven't used credits

4. Export data (if desired)

  • Email edicortech@gmail.com
  • Subject: "Data Export Request"
  • We'll send your data within 30 days (GDPR/CCPA right)

Canceling Subscription (Without Deleting Account)

If you want to cancel your subscription but keep your account:

iOS (Apple App Store)

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select EdicorAI
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription
  6. Confirm cancellation

Android (Google Play)

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap Menu (≡) → Subscriptions
  3. Select EdicorAI
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription
  5. Follow the prompts

After canceling:

  • Subscription remains active until period ends
  • You keep access until expiration
  • Won't be charged again
  • Credits expire at period end
  • Account remains active (switch to Free tier)

Reactivating After Deletion

Can I reactivate my deleted account?

No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

If you want to use EdicorAI again:

  • Download the app as a new user
  • Start with a fresh account
  • Previous data CANNOT be recovered
  • Previous subscriptions DO NOT transfer
